No.
Granted, these verses cite the word "divination," not "Astrology." Astrology in those days was partially what we now think of as astronomy. The wise men who came to Jesus when He was young were "astrologers," more than likely early astronomers, albeit with a likely idea of divination rather than mere celestial mechanics.
the Bible approves of astrologyGen.1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:Jg.5:20 The stars in their courses fought against Sisera.
Mt.2:1-2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Lk.21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars
NOLet now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. Isaiah 47:13-14
A different perspectiveReading the answers, I can only conclude that The Bible does not approve of astrology and, further, that the Bible does approve of astrology. All of which underscores the problem with the Bible -- it contradicts itself in so many places that it's hard to consider it an authorative source on anything. When all is said and done, if God really disapproves of astrology, he wouldn't have sent the Magi to warn Joseph and Mary of the impending slaughter of the innocents. The Magi (Wise Men) were astrologers, as somebody has already pointed out. (The Revised Standard Version of the Bible identifies them as "astrologers" whereas the King James version says they were "men who studied the stars.")Actually the magi didn't warn Mary and Joseph about Herod, It was an angel who appeared to Joseph in a dream and warned him to flee to Egypt with Mary and Jesus.
The Escape to Egypt
13When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." 14So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15where he stayed until the death of Herod
I always wondered about this. I always interpereted the genesis verse as a pro astrology verse. But the other verses seem pretty damn clear that its wrong. I never remember those verses, but theyre real and I believe them. Wow, Im not going to follow the stars anymore. So, the answer is no. I alwys thought different, but those other verses sound pretty clear.
The bible only disapproves of Astrology as practised in Babylon.

Not at all. The Nephilim are usually credited in the Bible for bringing astrology and other "forbidden" knowledge to humanity.
In those exact words, nowhere.
