Its has a timing belt (2.0l 16 valve dual cam ) and a timing chain in rear of camshaft.
you have a timing belt its be-hin the cover
are u sure is the timing chain? because cult it by the timing sensor or the timing auctueror sprocket There is no timing belt on a trailblazer only a single timing chain. After some research I found out that the timing chain is still in service in vehicles that have over 150,000 miles without issues. It does not appear to be a weak link in this very strong Atlas LL8 design. The posted labor to change it out is listed at 16 hours. Not really a driveway job but based on history not a problem on these trucks.
You don't the cam runs with a chain on the Duratech engines.
when to chang timing belt on peugeot 407 hdi 1.6
Just really want to know the timing belt settings please?
there is no " timing belt " sensor, but there are 2 sensors that control the timing. One is the crankshaft sensor and the other one is the camshaft sensor.
Neither its a gear set. Well depending if you have the 2.2 Ecotec or the 2.4 QUAD DOCH. Those engines have timing chains. The 2.0 has 2 gears. one on the crank and one on the cam. The others both have timing chains because they are DOCH 16 Valvers
Yes, it can bend valves when a timing belt breaks.
When to change out a timing belt on 06 vectra sri Mileage wise
left front engine up, take timing belt cover off. Remove timing belt. remove bolts from water pump. but new water pump on. Set timing belt in the same position. But the timing belt and the pullies back on. Then your Finished. Looking at the repair manual this is a lot harder than it sounds because, u have to remove the motor mount to remove timing belt.
