What is these brake bleeder tools and what do they do for you?

Brake bleeding is performed to insure you do not have bubbles in your brake line. If you had bubbles, it would cause your breaks to not work right. You can bleed your breaks if you have a friend help you, the procedure is pretty straight forward. The brake bleeder tools help you accomplish the task easier.

where can I get a vacuum brake bleeder kit for cheap?

A Vacuum brake bleeder kit is for a type of brake on an automobile. The bleeder kit is used to replace brakes. If you want to work on an old vacuum you may want to begin with the manufacturer of the vacuum. If you are handy with tools and can replace the damaged parts you could have a good vacuum for your own use for years to come.

Can an ABS pump issue in a vauxhall stop one break from working at all all other breaks work fine?

Never seen an ABS module do that in my experiences but what I have seen several times is a brake hose collapse internally and cause one wheel to not work. Open the bleeder on the troubled wheel and hit the brakes. If nothing comes out of the bleeder, inspect that brake hose and brake lines for damage. If brake fluid comes out when you hit the brakes you may have a stuck/frozen brake caliper piston.

How do you bleed the brakes on a 2000 Lincoln LS?

Start at the longest and work towards the shortest line (RR-LR-RF-LF) Attach a flexible hose to the bleeder screw at the top of the brake caliper Place the other end into a container filled with clean brake fluid Have an assistant hold brake pedal approx. 2/3 from the top Open bleeder screw observe the container with brake fluid (watch for air bubbles) Close bleeder screw Repeat until no air bubbles are observed Go to next wheel and repeat

How do you know if the brake callipers need to be replaced on a 1979 Buick LeSabre?

put pressure on the piston(c-clamp works good). If it doesn't push in petty easy, then open bleeder. if that doesn't work, replace calliper. if that did work, replace brake hose.

How do you get brake pressure on a 1995 gmc Yukon with abs after replacing abroken brake line and caliper?

Replace brake fluid in master cylinder keep eye on this fluid level. Open up the bleeder screw on Caliper and let gravity work the fluid out the bleeder screw until steady flow. This could take 15-20 min. Hopefully you added some brake fluid to the new caliper before installing. Once there is a steady flow tighten bleeder screw. You should be good to go !!!!! Another way is have some one pump the brake pedal until pressure is found and pedal is hard. Keep foot on floor and have someone open bleeder screw on caliper until pedal goes to floor. Keep pedal on floor and tighten bleeder screw. Again keep eye on brake fluid level and add accordingly. repeat this procedure until pedal pressure is good on first pump.....make sure to tighhten bleeder screw and keep eye on brake fluid level

Ford F-150 brake bleeding?

I will generally crack all 4 bleeder screws , depress the brake 3 or 4 times half way to the floor. Go for a 15 minute break. Tighten the bleeder screws and check for a soft pedal. If it is, pump the pedal a few times, crack the bleeder screw to allow air to escape, repeat if required. start at farthest work your way to the front. Hope this helps.

How to push in the piston even if the bleeder is open it still wont go back in?

open the bleeder valve I'm assuming your talking about a disk brake, you need to use a C clamp and the old brake pads to force the piston back into the caliper. If it had a X in the head of the piston you need to get the tool to turn it back in. If all that doesn't work, the caliper is frozen and it needs to be replaced

What size wrench does a brake bleeder screw take on a 1998 Chevy k 1500?

Have a good set of small wrenches ready. Bleeder screws are not always original. But almost all are 8 or 10mm or 1/4 or 5/16 . -If you work on your own vehicle these are all necessary wrenches.

How do you compress the caliper when replacing rear disc pads on a 2001 Silverado with ABS?

Most of the time you leave the pad that was against the caliper on and use a c-clamp.Some mechanics i know also open the bleeder screw to releave the pressure. it would work either way but, if you losen the bleeder screw fuild will shoot out. i would bleed the caliper after installing the brakes. losen the bleeder screw and have someone else push the brake and let some fluid out. tighten the screw before the brake peddel is let of off or air will be sucked in. air in a hydrolic brake system is bad!
