it has a bulb unless your gauge lights are out too then it is a brake fuse that's what i found to be the problem

Depends on what they were doing, and who was driving. They were pretty evenly matched.
Depends what you term as 'better' - having driven both many times I would say that for pure driving 'fun' the Subaru is better because it doesn't have so many gizmo's on, it therefore leaving you to do the driving. If you're not confident in your abilities of driving on the edge, the Mitsi is better because its more forgiving due to it's gizmo's (anti-yaw, type of surface selection, etc).
