The company that makes the laptop ZV5000 model is call HPPavilion. So far in the laptop business, this company has been one of the leading companies in the electronic business.
You would need to know the specific type of HP Pavilion laptop. Once you know this information get the specifications on the memory from the HP site. edit: eg. on the ZV5000, there is a small 'hatch' on the bottom. If you unscrew it, then you can add more RAM (this is the secondary 'expanison' slot) The original RAm slot is hidden inside the laptop, but is accessible.
Yes, I have one and it has 3 USB 2.0 ports.
Someone can find reviews for the HP Pavillion zv5000 many places. In addition to print sources such as various computer magazines, one can look on Amazon, which is well known for having excellent and trustworthy user reviews.
the zv5000 has 2 ram slots. one under the keyboard and another on the bottom panel.
I have an ZV5000, and they seem to have the same RAM specifications. The maximum is 2GB of RAM for both laptops. http://www.edgetechcorp.com/memory/upgrade.asp?cid=28619 (i wouldn't buy from this site if I were you, just look on ebay)
Yes, as long as it has the same connector type
You need a Li-ion 14.8V 8 cell battery. Different battery suppliers use different part numbers and offer different Ah ratings. Check with your battery supplier to make sure it is mechanically correct.
If it is similar to the zt3000, nx7000, x1000 series, then there is an unmarked small square cover on the underside of the chassis next to the docking connector. Pry this off with a small screwdriver and you will find the clock battery. That and the main battery are the only ones on these models. There exists a "maintenance and service guide" pdf for these models which show full disassembly steps for every component. You do not want to take it apart without this since there are times when you need to pry things apart and times when you should not because of hidden screws. Some of these laptops have dozens of screws of different sizes/types and require patience to tear down.
