The red battery wire goes on the positive + battery terminal no matter which side it is on. The black wire goes on the negative - terminal.
The red wire is Positive, (+) and the Black wire is Negative. (-)
The thick black wire is the negative which should be connected to the frame of the ATV (negative ground). The red wire comes from the battery positive terminal and should go to the start solenoid From the other side of start solenoid a red wire of the same size as the black one should go to the starter.
If you follow the positive (red) wire from the battery down into the bowels of the engine compartment, it will go directly to the starter.
Negative - (Black) is Ground, Positive + (Red) is Hot. Ground wire goes to Negative (Black) it goes from negative on battery to engine for ground.
Red is positive (+).
Run a wire from the POSITIVE terminal on the battery and touch the red wire (positive) to the window motor and run another wire from the NEGATIVE terminal on the battery and touch the green wire (negative) to the window motor. The window should go down. Reverse the wires to make the window go up.
hope this helpsprobally so.the battery will have there wires to a ground on the engine (black) and the hot to the starter(red).the other wires go to the selinoid which lead to the alternator and engine harness.plug your wire into the battery side of the distributor cap(right side)the other side is for tach it should be labeld on top of the cap if yours is a double hook up one.if not plug your wire in it will go to the battery through the harness.
Run a wire from the POSITIVE terminal on the battery and touch the red wire (positive) to the window motor and run another wire from the NEGATIVE terminal on the battery and touch the green wire (negative) to the window motor. The window should go down. Reverse the wires to make the window go up.
Disconnecting a wire from a battery would break the circuit. If the battery was powering a bulb, the lamp would go out.
There is a color code for the speaker wires in a 1995 Mercury Mystique. The radio battery constant 12v+ wire is orange/black, the radio accessory switched 12v+ wire is blue/black, the radio ground wire is black/green, and the illumination wire is white/green. The left front speaker wire (+) is white/black, the left front speaker wire (-) is brown/yellow, the right front speaker wire (+) is white/red, and the right front speaker wire (-) is brown/red. The left rear speaker wire (+) is white/violet, the left rear speaker wire (-) is brown/white, the right rear speaker wire (+) is white/violet, and the right rear speaker wire (-) is brown/white.
Any time you disengage the battery cables, it is recommended that you disconnect the negative (-) battery cable first. This will prevent your accidentally grounding the positive (+) terminal to the body of the vehicle when disconnecting it, thereby preventing damage to the above mentioned components. Follow the big / fat wire (red) positive (+) wire from the battery to the starter. The big / fat wire (red) positive (+) wire will go from the battery to the starter. The starter is located between the motor and transmission. The starter turns the fight wheel to start the engine.
That is your starter relay and if I'm reading the schematic correctly the red with blue stripe wire goes to your power distribution box in your engine compartment.
