To remove the water outlet housing from a 2002 Dodge Intrepid, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant and then remove any components obstructing access, such as the air intake or hoses. Unbolt the water outlet housing from the engine block, typically held by two or three bolts, and gently pry it off. Finally, clean the mating surfaces and replace the gasket before reinstalling the new or cleaned housing.
To disable the thermostat water outlet housing, you will need to disconnect the hoses or pipes connected to it, remove the fasteners securing it in place, and then carefully pull it away from the engine. Make sure to drain the coolant system before proceeding and follow manufacturer instructions for your specific vehicle.
