The Xbox 360 has a standard DVD player. When HD DVD was still in its infancy, Microsoft backed the medium and offered an external HD-DVD player. As we all now, Blue-ray won the battle and HD-DVD is now dead. Microsoft is heavly pushing Movies on demand. In an Gizmodo interview Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft said a Blue Ray accessory is in the works.
