Power door locks use a small electric motor to pull or push the door lock mechanism in order to lock or unlock the door. They are located in the bottom part of the door where they get wet and dirty and can simply become too gummed up to work. On those that still tried to work I have tried using WD40 to clean and lube them with only marginal success. New power door locks are still available, but not cheap.
