I'm not a mechanic / technician but I assume that would be : Bank 2 , sensor 1 Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in a 1999 Ford Explorer Sensor 1 would be the oxygen sensor somewhere in the exhaust before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream sensor )
On a 1999 Ford Explorer : Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine ( 4.0 EFI / 4.0 SOHC / 5.0 V8 )
