Should be an A727 tranny. I have an 1989 Dodge D100 3.9 v6 and the transmission in it is an 904 a lighter version of the 727.
torque flight 727
probably not.
Dextron 2
The D100 probably has the 3 speed standard transmission. If so, it doesn't use gear oil in the transmission. It uses Dextron II or III. The fill plug is found on the side of the transmission about half way up.
The ballast resistor is located on the left inner fender.
The ballast resistor is located either on the firewall or on the left inner fender.
904 TF and 727 TF and many more with a kit.
when my 1986 w-250 turn signal switch went out the brake lights quit working.
The 1987 Dodge D100 typically came equipped with either a 3-speed automatic transmission (A518) or a 4-speed manual transmission (NV3500), depending on the configuration and options chosen by the buyer. The automatic transmission was more common, while the manual option appealed to those seeking a more hands-on driving experience. Always check the vehicle's specifications or documentation for the exact transmission type for a specific truck.
Yes. You need a transmission and new front axel. I would just find one with 4x4.
