Pros--delicious and many of the dishes are healthy. Vegetarian cooking is a high art in India. Cons--unfamiliar ingredients; you may have to go to a specialty store. Sometimes the dishes are quite elaborate and take some work and planning (true for any cuisine, I suppose). Many people don't like very spicy food, so be cautioned on this although not all Indian dishes are spicy.
