if you are wondering why diffusion occurs, you must think of sub-atomic particles.

In any given atom, electrons are tiny negetively charged particles that revolve around the nucleus which contains positively charged nuetrons. the electrons repel electrons of neighbouring atoms. so, they tend to be as far away as possible from them (not taking into consideration gravity which holds the atoms together). but once they get repelled, the get repelled again by another neighbouring atom's electrons. thus the tend to be at equal distances from one another. in other words, the tend to spread out and form uniformity. This is why diffusion occurs.

Diffusion is evidence for particle models because it causes diffusions

Explain how osmosis differs from diffusion?

Osmosis differs from Diffusion because in osmosis only water moves, and during diffusion, small molecules move across the cell membrane.

Why diffusion become faster on heating explain?

So the molecules move faster and there will be more spontaneous spreading of the material which means that diffusion occurs. So the molecules move faster and there will be more spontaneous spreading of the material which means that diffusion occurs.

Explain the relationship between diffusion and osmosis?

Diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to low concentration; osmosis is the same thing, but with water molecules, not other types of molecules.

Why the line-with-gaps model is not suitable to explain facilitated diffusion?

Facilitated diffusion is a carrier-mediated form of transport across a membrane. The line-with-gaps model doesn't show the carrier proteins that are in the cell membrane. These proteins are what help facilitated diffusion occur.
