Unfortunately it’s humans. Not all of them, of course, but just a few sickos who give the rest of us a bad name!
The ASPCA, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is an organization that has a mission making the world a better place for animals. It is particularly involved concerning animals that are pets or are wild animals being held in captivity.
Here is a description of the organization as given on its website: "The ASPCA was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. Our mission, as stated by our founder, Henry Bergh, in 1866, is 'to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.'"
What they do is if someone sees another person abusing their pet they will call them. Then they will come, take the pet away and sue the owner. If you know someone who does this call the ASPCA and tell them what the persons name is, what kind of animal it is, where the abuse is happening, and your name. Please call if you do see an animal being abused it could save the life of a poor defenseless animal. it needs your help
the equivalent of RSPCA in France is the SPA association (Société Protectrice des Animaux). Their website offers some information about the laws regarding cruelty against animals, but there is no indication that they have inspectors.
"it was set up in 2009"
...Are you kidding me?! Don't be stupid.
1824.
Why did you say 2009? that is stupid people use this website for help with their homework and your lying about answers.
The RSPCA was set up in 1824.
ASAA xx
you have to be 18 to join but at age 14 up u can volunteer
Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and Jennifer Harman are "celebrities" that support the SPCA. However, for the spcaLA, Betty White, Shannon Elizabeth, and other have supported this cause with public apperances for charity.
In N.Z you have to be over 14 to work at the SPCA
In Canada to get any job you must be at least 16, SPCAs often dont hire often and if they do they are looking for someone older than 20 to have time to train and work. It is NOT an easy job
I think you can be any age, but you might want to call the animal shelter just to make sure.
you really have to be 16 to volunteer with out an adult
most spca jobs are voluntary which means that there is no pay. you normally have to start out as a volunteer and then get promoted although they sometimes have vet jobs available.
It stands for The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The 990 filing for the ASPCA for 2014 shows that the president and CEO earned $497,818 in salary and $40,239 in other compensation.
The SPCA and ASPCA are sometimes forced to put healthy animals down because they do not have the space to keep all of the stray animals they find. There are some no-kill shelters that will not kill any animals that they receive though.
The ASPCA rescues animals of every shape, size and species. They'll rescue horses, cats, pigs, rabbits, goats, chickens, dogs, anything. They even rescue wild animals, such as crocodiles, bears, tigers. Obviously, they are not held in the same facilities. Basically, their efforts are to save and protect animals of all species.
The RSPCA, like so many other charities, rely solely on public donations because the Government does not offer funds to them. The money raised goes towards all sorts of publicity campaigns, staff training, paying staff, and for the facilities needed to house abandoned or otherwise abused animals. The link below goes directly to the relevant page on the official RSPCA websie, which you may find useful.
The simplest thing to do is to put the cat's corpse in a garbage bag, seal, and place in a trash can for pick-up on your regular scheduled day.
The SPCA does its best to feed their animals only premium brand cat and dog food however the specific brand of food changes, and can also vary from shelter to shelter. Some shelters are sponsored by a brand and they get some of their food donated to them by those companies. I believe the SPCA also accepts donations of dog and cat food from individuals however if you are interested in donating food the an animal shelter I recommend you ask the shelter about what brand of food they would like you to buy.
