What is amazing is the fact that Jeffrey's younger brother came from the same 'gene pool' and environment and he is a completely functioning person, he leads a normal life. So how can that be? It may have to do with how internal and external events are perceived by the individuals involved. Jeff and his brother may have perceived the same situations differently. What is known about the human brain is in it's infancy even now in the 21st century.

The Dahmer's address was 4480 West Bath Rd. Bath OH. This was the house the Dahmers moved to when Jeffrey was eight. This was also the scene of Jeffrey's first murder, a hitchhiker named Hicks. After he killed Hicks, Dahmer dismembered him and spread the remains in the woods near the house.

This must have had devastating consequences on Dahmer as a child. there was never any evidence that Jeff was molested as a child, Jeff himself emphatically denied this claim.

I'm always a little curious as to how some rumors get started. Dahmer was killed by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver with a broom handle. He suffered severe head trauma and was DOA at the hospital. But he was not sodomized or sexually molested in any way. Scarver killed another inmate along with Dahmer, he was not molested either. Although the general public may find it somewhat comforting to think Dahmer died as his victims did, it simply is not the truth.

A few of the rumors are Lincoln Tower, Morrill Tower and Drackett Hall. It is possible that his records were destroyed due to the fact that he was there only briefly and did not complete any classes. Only years later with his arrest would those records be of interest to anyone.

David Dahmer, Jeffrey's younger brother by 7 years, has changed his name and moved on with his life. Dahmer's mother died of cancer in 2000, and Lionel Dahmer has since remarried and retired and lives a quiet life.
