I have two male hamsters they have been in the same cage alone numerous times, and they do not fight ever.
Go slowly and take your time with the hamster. Feed him from a spoon that you are holding, then gradually work up to touching with a stick. Pet him with the stick for awhile and then try your finger. Eventually the hamster will warm up to you.
If he's a biter, then you should talk to him for a bit so he gets used to your voice, then try. If that doesn't work, make sure your hand does not smell like food or you fed him. Or leave your hand in there for a bit. Dwarf hamsters are known for biting you at first.
Unfortunately guilt is not something that just goes away, you will just have to learn how to live with it. It has been 40 years since I was making circles in my driveway on my bicycle with our dog cocoa beside me, I still remember vividly how I made one circle too close to the highway and cocoa was run over by a passing car. He was just being a good friend and I killed him by not being careful. The memory will always be there but the pain will fade in time and hopefully as with me you will have learned the lesson your pet died to teach you.
the male hamster will choose one female hamster and the left one will die
Pretty much, the only difference is that teddy bear hamsters have longer fur
1-3 tablespoons of hamster mix and if your hamster can have large portions of vegetables or fruits you can give them some but you would have to take it out every next day you put it in the bowl
yeah!!
A Syrian hamster? I don't think so. They are fatter, bigger, and meaner, in my opinion. I like dwarf hamsters because they are small and cute, and fast, and they have a little stripe down their back. They are also very tame and sweet, most of the time. Sometimes they can be snippy, but not all of the time.
Only robo's. They are a different species to all other hamsters, so the babies may have health problems, will definitely be infertile and there is no certainty that the parents will actually mate.
The only hamsters who can cross-bread are Russian and winter Whites as they are essentially the same breed.
I have expierenced mice pregnancy the babies have to be 2 weeks old because the mom will abandoned their babies. They will do this because they smell someone else and they will not recenize there smell.don't try to handle them earlier. you will have a mouse eating mouse.
If the female hamster is not on heat they will not mate, so just separate them until they're ready.
dwarf hamsters can only live on aspen wood chips, because they are allergic to other wood such as pine, cedar, etc. types such as the chinese dwarf and robo dwarf hamster are especially allergic to anything other than aspen because their natural habitat is the gobi desert, and not in a woody area
well there is no way it is just gonna have to listen to it's surroundings
Sure you can kiss your dwarf hammy! Just try your best not to get them too soggy from the kiss.
13,679 in most cases. However in some rare hamster species there are 13,680 chromosomes, these of which live in rural areas situated with little human contact and few predators. Living in the wild of many island in the Pacific Ocean.
yes,you can. and tissue paper or kitchen paper makes great bedding for hamsters, mine loves it.
Fruits contain way too much sugar for a healthy hamster! You should not feed a hamster, this small especially, fruit! Any fruit that's on here completely ignore! I'm not even sure about some of this other stuff either, like Sweet potatoes. Not too sure about that. Another thing that was on here was Almonds! Never ever feed your hamster almonds. On one it saysnuts(no almonds What's really good for your hamster are pellet diets and leafy green vegetables! These hamsters have a keen sense of smell so they will pick through commercial food to find the good tasting but unhealthy pieces. This is why pellet diets are extremely good for making sure that your hamster gets the right amount of nutrients.

I'm not sure what kind of hamster you mean but they all kind of get amused the same. If you don't really want to buy some toys and fun kind of stuff you can easily make something with things around your household- for example... A toilet tube can be fun and amusing for a dwarf hamster, it can hide in it and possibly sleep in it. You can also use an egg carton as a little tunnel kind of thing. I am mainly referring to dwarf hamsters as that is what I know most about but as for Syrian hamsters, maybe it is the same but use bigger things. Hamsters like to dig and search for things, so try and hide some of their food around the cage so they have to search, that might keep them amused. Hope I helped!
Dwarf hamsters are very nice! They are known to be the nicest of all hamsters actually! Other hamspters may be sweet, but if you are young, under the age of 13, this would be a great choice of a hamster. I have 2 actually, and they never bitten any of us! Ever! They don't even try to bite! If they are uncomffy, the only thing that they will do is NIP. That's about it. It doesnt hurt at all (; They are truley the best thinggs ever! They are so sweet and adorable! <3
You don't make them drink, just supply fresh water everyday and they will drink when they are thirsty. Gerbils don't need lots of water as the originate from desert areas. If you notice that the water bottle has not emptyed at all after a few days you should take it to the vet as it may be ill.
because its deidrated and need to give fresh water and she/he will stared to get out of its bed alot off times and just go seep any where. so just put in a shaded place what to do fresh water and shaded place if not could be ill and may need to see the vet meganloveshamster.com
