The pass key system needs to be reset, as if the car forgot the code it reads from the key. To reset the system follow these steps.
1. Start the car
2. Let the car die as it was doing and then dont touch the key.
3. Let the car sit there for 20 or 30 min with the key on
4. Turn the key off then start the car up and you should be all set.
I called a GM dealer and they told me they had to recalibrate the passkey system 100$ .... screw the dealer.
