Fuel sending unit, its in on near or around the fuel pump i have the same problem in my 2001 sierra... i just never fixed it...
i need a diagram of a 2005 Chevy silverado read drum brake setup
Just READ the side of the tire and it will be written on it.
It is stamped into the rotor. You will have to remove it to be able to read it.
Check Coli, an wires attached to coli, coli my not be getting enough juice
While the truck is running in idle pull out the dip stick and read it.
You must first find out what caused it to come on and that will REQUIRE an engine scanner. After you have scanned the engine and read the engine codes and then repaired the problem. You will be able to turn the light off with the scanner.
Pull up the dipstick, wipe it off, reinsert it, pull it back out, read the level.
you need an obdII scanner to read codes. either that or one of the many after market programmers.
Key on engine off, Should read 60 to 66 PSI. No lower are higher are you will have problems.
what kind or engine oil does a 2000 Chevy silverado 1500 take Read the oil fill cap. should be 5w30. could be 10w30. just don't run the 10w30 in the cold if you live in a place where winter time temps go below 30 degrees....at least that's the general rule as it gets really thick & when you start it up in the morn your engine will be rubbing metal to metal.
It goes in the over flow jug. If you look at it you will see 2 lines, They read FULL WHEN COLD and FULL WHEN HOT.
The fuel gauge on a 1985 Chevy Silverado will read full all the time if the sending unit is defective or the wire has come loose. When the tank is full, the sending unit normally shuts off which cause the gauge to read full.
