check the brake pedal switch
The trunk release for a Dodge Stratus is to the left of the drivers seat when sitting in the driving position on the floor of the car just inside the drivers door. Pull the lever and you are in.
Depress the button on the parking brake handle and move the lever down
I would look at the trunk latch for a small lever that disables the remote release when you have the car valet parked. I'm not sure about Stratus, but many cars I have worked on have this feature. Have someone operate the lever in the car while you watch what the cable is doing at the latch. If that is the problem, you should be able to see it.
OD means Overdrive. The light is on because you have disengaged the Overdrive. The button is on the shift lever on the side. Push that button to engage the overdrive.
It's the overdrive engage button, which is like a 5th gear. It only engages when the gear lever is in 4th gear and it can be operated without depressing the clutch.
It is located on the left side of the driver seat floorboard. The trunk release lever also functions as the keyless entry module if it is pushed down.
on our 2002 there is a release lever next to the driver seat, also there is one inside the trunk
No, they either have a manual lever or a rotary knob.
The lock is removed with the open lock button in the driver's door or with the open locks button at the key. Then the door is opened by actuating the lever just above the license plate. Hope this helps!
need more info.. is it a manual 4WD that you have to pull the lever on the transmission hump to engage the 4wd or is it push button 4WD?
I just fixed a similar problem on my LT155. All that needed to be done was to tighten the button on top of the lift lever by screwing it in until it stops. This puts pressure back on the spring under the button, which is necessary to push down on the latch at the other end of the lift lever so that it will engage the keeper on the tractor frame. Without enough pressure from the spring under the handle, the latch won't engage the keeper. Very simple fix, actually. (Once you figure out what's wrong.)
