Don't know exactly what you mean, if the rotten egg smell probably cat. convertors fuel smell probably ox. sensors. Does it still idle and run smooth?
Sounds like one of the cats or all of them are somewhat clogged. I was going to say vacuum but seeing that you're getting a smell, probably in the exhaust system but check PCV and the EGR valves too.
The 1991-1997 Lincoln Town Car with the standard 4.6L engine has 210 horsepower if it has dual exhaust. Otherwise, the power is about 190 horsepower with the single exhaust.
It isprobably not getting fuel or not getting spark.
How is it running? Is the mileage ok? Have you checked the computer diagnostic codes? It's possible that the ignition isn't doing well and you're getting unburned hydrocarbons out the exhaust. It's possible that the oxygen sensor is bad and that the engine is getting too much fuel in an effort to compensate. It's possible that there is a problem with the EGR valve or even the catalytic converter.
clean your maf(mass air flow sensor)
1994 Lincoln Mark VII doesn't exist.
The best way to fix an exhaust leak on a 1994 Caprice is to install new exhaust pipes where the leak is located. Exhaust leaks are dangerous and can cause carbon monoxide to build up in the passenger area of the vehicle.
on the end of the exhaust manifold just where the exhaust pipe connects to it
it may be the fuel pump
Lincoln-Douglas Galesburg Debate - 1994 TV was released on: USA: 8 October 1994
It is screewed into the exhaust pipe/pipes close to where the exhaust bolts to the engine.
