A speeding ticket in the state of Virginia will carry points over to New Jersey. This is as a result of the Driver License Compact which states that all violation information is relayed to participating states. There are 45 states in total that acknowledge this agreement.
Michigan will place points on a license for a ticket from another state. However, if the offense in the other state would have carried other penalties, including suspension, Michigan is not obligated to impose those penalties.
In California, the amount of points a person will get on their driver's license depends upon the offense. If the offense is a simple speeding ticket, the driver will receive one point. A reckless driving violation will result in two points.
You do get two point for moving violations done out side NJ, with NJ license. Check out the MVC site.http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/Violations/penalties_otherStates.htmKrishna
You will get 3 penalty points on your drivers license. If that exceeds to 15 penalty points in 3 years, you will be disqualified and that will result in you reapplying for both the provisional driving license and you will have to resit your practical and theory tests. However, in some cases, a fine is usually imposed upon the convicted person.
None will be taken off - you'll have points added. Given the particularly high rate of speed, you're most likely looking at a minimum of four points, since such flagrant speeding would result in more than just a simple speeding ticket.
If it was a New York or a Michigan ticket, the answer would be YES. Because it is a Florida ticket, the answer is NO - for now. That may change in the future.
