Where does the pus on your tonsils come from?

It depends... Sometimes the tonsils are infected with bacteria (tonsillitis) and pus will drain out. If this is recurring, there might be an indication to have them removed (tonsillectomy). It you find that what is coming out is hard and white but your throat doesn't hurt, you might simply have tonsils with crypts in which food particles get stuck.

How do you remove tonsiles?

It's impossible. I mean being healthy and washing your hands will help prevent any disease but if you have tonsils then you are at risk for getting this because there are so many germs going to your mouth by breathing, eating, kissing...ect. How to remove this would be get on anti bios while you have tonsillitis then you'll just have to get surgery cause not getting them removed could keep causing fever and do internal damage. It's a simple surgery and after a few days no more sore throat and fever. Some people never get this disease but i don't know many people over the age of 20 who still have theirs, But they are still at risk to getting tonsillitis cause they have tonsils. gargle with salt water, drink lemon juice, and grape seed extract are some natural helpers to help fight it, but seriously talk to a doctor about getting them out. I hope you or your loved one gets well!

How old do you have to be to get your tonsils taken out?

Tonsils can be safely removed from around age 4 and up to an elderly age (which rarely happens since most people get them out when they are young).
