if its an automatic change fluid filter in transmission!!
hell yeah its hard,is taking a transmission out of jetta hard if so clutch will ...
a broken dip stick wont cause hard shifting... the engine does not do the any shifting... your problem would be the transmission... check transmission....
Can be old fluids. You should change it every 50,000. -ALL of it, not just the pan. It could have a broken or stuck accumulator.
Use only genuine Honda ATF-Z1 automatic transmission fluid in the A/T. Do not use any substitute or hard shifting will be the result.
Have transmission fluid and filter changed. Checked Transmission mounts
Check the transmission fluid on the 1995 Nissan Altima. Bad fluid can cause the transmission to shift harder on parts that are more worn.
I have a 2002 Moutianeer, and not to long ago had a problem with the shifting. It would struggle, then shift real hard into 2nd. I had to have a tramsmission overhaul done. Thank God it was under warrenty.
It for sure cannot hurt and may very well help. Have the fluid and filter changed, and see where you stand then.
Consult a Local Transmission Shop
The primary cause of a transmission to experience hard shifting is low fluid. Fluid is the life of a transmission and operates most of its functions.
Most often hard shifting can be fixed partially by a transmission flush and change of automatic transmission filter. Also, i have had luck with using a large magnet on the bottom of the transmission pan before the flush because parts of the clutches that are loose will not be filtered by a clogged filter. Also, on my grand am, the transmission fluid was dangerously low when i went to change it when first buying the car- this could also be a possible problem.
