Clutch needs adjustment/replacement Synchonizers worn?
Most likely the clutch-look at disc surface.
It is a fairly big job. It requires accessing the clutch by removing the transfer case from the vehicle after separating it from the engine.
any hard hit under the car will break it as its aluminum they break pretty easy and are no fun to change.
Well you might be interested in checking the release bearing.
no
Same thing happened on my 2000 Jetta. I took the cover off the inside of the trunk lid and found that the plastic peg that the solenoid hits had broken off. I am now searching for the part to see how hard it is to replace. I have a feeling I will have to buy the whole mechanism.
You need a new clutch
You'll need to get cables of the same size as you have now and simply replace them. I doubt you'll find anything that replaces easy though. To change the clutch you will need to remove the transmission. This is not a beginner's task.
