Each component in a network connected by wires is called a terminal. Components in a network that are not connected by wires, such as in a shared Wi-Fi connection are also called terminals.
To check whether a printer is shared or not go to devices on the computer and note whether the printer is listed for that particular computer. Do this for each computer in question.
I think the main differences between a network printer and a shared printer are: 1. A shared printer is suitable for small environment A network printer used for large network 2. shared printer connected system not shutdown printer did not connect to the system it will connected to switch 3. A network printer has more security 4. A network printer has an IP address shared printer working only same platform
It depends what you consider a network. If all the cables and associated hardware is there, but no computers are connected to it, it could still be considered a network. Others would just think of it as a collection of cables and switches unless there are at least two computers on it.
No, it is not a processor it is a disk or tape drive connected to a server in the network that is shared by multiple users. Also known as a "remote drive."http://wiki.answers.com/What_is_a_network_drive#ixzz1WRBci0KE
Yes. One does not need to be currently connected to a network to install networking hardware, else you would not have been able to connect to the network in the first place.
When you're connected to the Internet you are in fact connected to a network with many (hundreds of millions) of other users. Several Computer nodes which are installed with any MS Windows OS and are connected with each other in peer (workgroup) or in domain model is called a Windows Network. Usually computers are connected in network with each other to utilize shared resources for maximum utilization. The most common shared resource which we can see is a printer.
