HELL NO! Dead By Sunrise is his side project. Just like Mike Shinoda has Fort Minor.
I think, you are referring to DBS, which is Dead By Sunrise.Dead By Sunrise is Linkin Park's frontman Chester Bennington's side project. Also Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh from Julien-K. and Orgy have teamed up with him.And note, that Chester Bennington hasn't left Linkin Park.
Yes. Quite well in fact. You can see him pick up a guitar at many Linkin Park concerts.
He hasn't he never did He had a side project dead by sunrise in 2009 but never left
No, he hasn't. In fact, Linkin Park are still in the process of recording their 4th studio album, which should come out somewhere around late spring-early summer, this year.
He never left Linkin Park.
Linkin Park music is supposed to be left to the interpretation of the listener.
No.
Linkin Park started out with singer Mark Wakefield instead of our well known Chester Bennington. At that time, their name was Xero. Mark, tired of waiting for success, left the band. Not too long later, Chester auditioned, leaving people walking out of the waiting room because of his uber vocals. The band was then renamed Hybrid Theory but eventually had to change it due to copyright issues (another band named Hybrid). They finally settled on Linkin Park and called their first album Hybrid Theory. And finally, today, we have rock gods and one of the most successful bands in the past 20 years. Savvy?
They started out as a band called Xero, when they couldnt get a record deal, the lead singer left, and they recruited Chester Bennington. They renamed themselves to Hybrid Theory, and began performing. Due to legal reasons, their name had to be changed, so the changed their name to Linkin Park. They named their debut album "hybrid Theory", which became the bestselling album of 2001. Hope that answers your question. for more information, look them up on Wikipedia.
The interpretation of Linkin Park music is supposed to be left to the listener. What do you think it means?
Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He took interest in music at a young age, citing Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots as early inspirations. Bennington's parents separated in the late 1980s. He later struggled with cocaine and methamphetamine addictions. Bennington eventually overcame his drug addiction, and would go on to denounce drug use in future interviews. He worked at a Burger King restaurant before starting his career as a professional musician. Before joining Linkin Park, Bennington was a vocalist in Grey Daze, a post-grunge band from Phoenix, Arizona. He left Grey Daze in 1998, but struggled to find another band to play in. After nearly quitting his musical career altogether, Jeff Blue, then the vice president of A&R at Zomba Music in Los Angeles, offered Bennington an audition with the future members of Linkin Park. Bennington quit his day job, and took his family to California, where he had a successful audition with Linkin Park, who were then called "Xero". Bennington and Mike Shinoda, the band's other vocalist, made significant progress together, but failed to find a record deal. After facing numerous rejections, Jeff Blue, now a vice president of A&R at Warner Bros., intervened again to help the band sign with Warner Bros. Records.
