Has anyone had trouble in Earth link setup where modem is dialing Co is clueless. Explorer works fine on their connection so modem works?

Maybe I can help someone with the same problem. I found that I had to create a connection Eatrhlink2008 and then sign in under the connections option under control panel and then use expolorer to update xp from original and then I updated to xpsp2. Then I was able to use earthlink with explorer. Eventually earthlink asked me to create a user and I got it to work. Still not sure why it didn't work, but suspect it required the updates to xp for installation to work.

Check the connection on the oil pressure switch. If the connection is solid I would just go ahead and replace the oil pressure switch. They only cost on an average 7 to 13 dollars. Hope this helps.
