Has anyone met a time traveler?

This is probably not the answer you were expecting but ...

Yes! Both people and objects travel in time. If you think about it, you are doing it right now.

But to answer your intended question the answer is still yes. Einstein produced a theory that the faster you travelled the more compressed time became and therefore the slower time would become on your time travelling ship in comparison to the planet you left. It's called the theory of ordinary relativity.

This isn't a theory anymore. Satellites in space used for SATNAV have a built in time corrections to negate the effects of time dilation as proposed by Einstein. The time corrections are in the order of millionths of a second but without these corrections the SATNAV system would be grossly inaccurate. Furthermore humans who have travelled at high speed in space and the upper atmosphere suffer this loss of time too. They are a microscopic amount younger than they ought to me had they stayed on earth.

This is achieved at speeds that are only a few tens of thousands of miles per hour. If we could go faster toward the speed of light Einstein predicted that the effect would become exponentially exaggerated. Unfortunately he also predicts that the amount of energy required to approach the speed of light would become exponential too. So it's unlikely that we will achieve this anytime soon but the possibility to manipulate time is real.

Yes! It has been tested. Let me tell you exactly how this works though. There is a law in our universe at which no matter can exceed the speed of light. So a theory develops about what would happen when an object reaches 99.99% of the speed of light. So it was put to test at a particle accelerator in Switzerland. When the particles approached the speed of light time slowed down to prevent them from reaching the speed.

A second theory proven true, mass drags on time just like it drags on anything else. An example here on Earth given by Stephen Hawking is The Pyramids in Egypt. Time actually moves slower around the pyramids because they weigh so much. Another example, Earth. The satellites orbiting earth daily have be reset to Earths time because every day time moves six seconds slower. So what object in the universe has the highest mass? A black hole. So if you were able to orbit a black hole with such a gigantic mass it would by estimation every two days on earth would only be one day orbiting the black hole.

The third and less popular theory many don't believe to be valid as it has not been tested is if you were able able to increase the size of a wormhole which are all around us but so small they are smaller than an atom then you could travel through it. However, due to feedback many scientists don't see this as a valid theory. Its an interesting subject none the less.

There sure is and I will not give up the info,for this kinda technology would be abused by people in our time.I have had future relatives visit me on more then one occasion.It freaked me out at first and I wasn't sure if it was all true but they proved it to me, and I know how they travel.

there are no time machines in earth, but einstien said -if we travel in the speed of light we can time travel. it is really simple. space and time are linked to each other. time bends with space density. if you are out of the earth's time you are travelling to the future. the more the density more the speed of travel. black hole is really dense. if you are 20 years old and have a brother at the same age and you traveling to a blackhole and staying there for 3 years. when you return to earth your brother is now 70 and you are still 20. to answer the question object going really fast like satellites and hi speed maglev trains are travelling time in a really small value like one billionth of a second

Would we know if we had ? A time traveller is unlikely to reveal that they are a time traveller for fear of upsetting the space time continuum
