As a Polaris mechanic, I can say that very few RZR's come into our shop because they are broken down. The most common problem is fuel pumps at a few hundred hours, usually due to poor fuel or dirty jerry cans. Otherwise, all of my RZR repairs other than normal maintenance have been user error, running into things, water damage, etc.
Cheap Tickets is a reliable site to buy tickets from. It's reliability used to be debatable, but their website has been completely revamped for consumer efficiency.

About 1700 years.
Ski-doos are usually more performance sleds, they are usually the first to try out new designs and that is why their snowmobiles look so weird compared to the standard design that pretty much all polaris snowmobiles look like. That being said, polaris are usually more reliable, and are much easier to find parts for. The standard polaris design that has been in place since like 1996 works fairly well and is good for a nice trail snowmobile. I myself prefer polaris over ski-doo because of the reliability issue. The newer ones may be better, i cannot say because I have never ridden one newer than 2000.
Subaru has within the last couple of years been recognized as the brand with the best reliability record in general.
Some radar runs have put the 1998 polaris storm at 136mph. I found this out by googling radar run 800 polaris storm. I have been up to 110mph on mine. I had lots of throttle but I ran out of guts.

Polaris is a Trinary star system, but there are many other trinary star systems out there, and to date no exo solar planets have been discovered around any of the stars that make up the Polaris system. Not to mention that Polaris A being a red giant and Polaris B and C being a close binary star system the existence of any planets is very unlikely.
Snowmobiles run on gasoline. Manufactures like Polaris recommend that their machines are run with premium grade fuel to prevent problems. Some snowmobile owners have been experiencing problem with the fuels that have been blended with ethanol since these engines are not been designed to run on blended fuels.
