That is 16 numerically.Which indicates the EGR valve is signaling it is not working properly. It is mounted below the carburetor passenger side has 3 10 mm bolts that hold it and one vacumm line and one electrical plug in.I suggest removing it and disconnect the vac line and electrical plug and note the gasket position before removing from the egr.Use brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner to remove the carbon buildup and a wire brush or sandpaper,or cordless drill brush to clean it up.Normally the piston inside this sticks and due to carbon may set the code.Clean and reinstall and this should clear the poor running or cough, hesistation cold or hot issues unless the rubber diaphragm inside the egr is deterioated and loosing vaccumm.Normal cleaning does the job most times. This part is not cheap by any means even at auto zone or advance auto parts.
