Hey, I had a problem like this and solved it. Take a test light and check at the ecm for power (with the key on) at the orange and black wire. My car had a broken connector in the engine compartment that feeds power to the ecm. Take some electrical tape and wire covers off. It is where two large orange wires meet three small orange wires. After repairing that, my car started right up. Good luck, Ken- Martin Auto Body
The engine will develop a skip and the check engine light will illuminate. The code set in the ecm will direct you to which injector is bad.
Check the injector (inside the throttle body)
No it is not a fuel pump problem. It either has a grounded are open circurt. Check wiring to injector. May just be a bad INJECTOR.
You need to check body to engine grounds. Then check battery to body ground. now check engine to battery ground make sure they are clean and tight. check the positive cable going from battery to starter and make sure its clean and tight I believe you'll find the problem.
How do you reset check engine light for the 2009 Chevy trail blazer?
A vacuum leak, a bad injector and if the check engine light is on, check the codes.
Black smoke indicates the engine is running rich. Could be many things....TPS, CTS, bad injector, MAP sensor, time for a tune up.? Check engine light on??
Easy answer? bad spark plug. Check it. Next check? the wire. Substitude a good wire and start the engine. If it runs good, that's what it is. Next check? Coil pack. Or the gas injector. Next? Get Chilton's automotive repair book and go to the section that shows your Chevy. Then go to the troubleshooting section.
You must have an engine scanner to do that.
You can either bring it in to a Chevy dealer or use a programmer/tuner to reset the check engine light.
With the engine running place a mechanic's stethoscope or screwdriver against each injector one at a time and listen for a clicking sound indicating it is working. IF an injector isn't operating or sounds different from the other 3 turn off the engine and take the electrical connection to the injector. Check the resistance with a DVOM across the terminals of the injector. It should be between 11 to 18 ohms. If it's not within this range replace the injector.
It may be map sensor but engine knocking cause of another reason. You should check your spark plug , I.S.C valve , Injector and engine Compressor. thanks It may be map sensor but engine knocking cause of another reason.
