Sounds like you have a bad heater core. Same thing happened to my car. Had to replace the heater under the dash. Check your coolant lines in and out first for leaks.
The heater core is leaking coolant.
Depends, are you losing coolant ? If so the heater core is leaking. If not, just leave the window open slightly, gets more air circulation.
The classic symptoms of a leaking heater core. Replacing the heater core requires removing the complete dash assembly.
Sounds like your heater core may have a pinhole leak in it
If it had no leaks it would not be loosing coolant. So therefore it does have a leak. It can be leaking in a spot where the coolant burns away before dripping on the ground. Also a blown head gasket is a possibility. Look for coolant in the oil. A heater core can leak. Do you smell coolant inside the car or are the windows fogging up or developing a film. You need to have a pressure test run on the cooling system and find this leak.
They fog up when water condenses on the surface. If the air inside the car is warmer than the outside temperature you will experience fogging of the inside of the windows. In extreme humidity the problem is worse. You can also see fogging if the heater core is leaking. To dissipate the moisture turn on the defroster.
First, clean the inside glass COMPLETELY, then use an anti-fogging agent. You can get it at a parts store.
This is a good question and I have an easy answer for you. There is a product called Rain X which repells rain and helps greatly with fogging I would highly recommend this product. anonymous@oola.com
A/C will dry the air, helps to keep windows from fogging up as much.
Your heater core is leaking in it's housing box and blowing moist air through the heater/defroster. Try bardall radiator stop leak. If no help, install new heater core. Chuck.
