Early Previas, prior to 1994, were notorious for overheating the heater switch and melting the plastic casing. Once melted, the plastic would interfere with the switch lever movement and would glue itself in the last positon set. Forcing the switch, may restore some of the blower speed positions, but usually just open circuits and must be replaced for a very high cost of labor.
Toyota previa starter motor wont engage
did your heater switch go out all of a sudden or did some work like high work and low not work? if some worked your blower resister is most likely bad under your glove box
You could always take it to the shop You could always take it to the shop
either a bad fan switch or a bad blower motor. Take it to a trusted mechanic.
you have a bad heater core
Cut wires under the dash or hood or missing fuses and relays?
there is a condenser on the heater housing it has 2 bolts holding it into the housing, just below the heater motor, they go bad, i had the same problem on a 95 rodeo.
Could be, a bad blower motor, a blown fuse, a bad resistor, a bad switch, damaged wiring,
Check for loose wire connections also Defective blower motor or resistor pack. Blown fuse or defective blower motor switch.
I am guessing cranck positioning sensor.
The heater or blower motor on my 91 previa works some time but has'nt now for the last month. I hear a humming sound that lasts for 10 seconds or so and then seems to kick out. It will do this twice with a gap of a few minutes in between when i start the vehicle in the morn.then it doesnt do this again until i let it sit for hours.i have heat but cant get the full effect because the blower wont kick in to circulate it. Also the blower only works on high when it works.any suggestions?
Probably the brake light switch is bad. The brake light switch is what sends the unlock signal when you step on the brake to move the gear selector.
