I have a 95 I'm having the same trouble with. I've searched numerous forums etc... on how to solve the problem with no specific answer. Hesitation starts just off of idle and ends around 2000 RPM. I have replaced many many things and have maybe narrowed it down to the EGR Valve (not the valve solenoid which I have already replaced). If I disconnect the wire going to the EGR solenoid, to stop the function of the EGR valve, it runs pretty good. But that doesn't mean it's not another problem the ECM is compensating for. Search message boards and you will see this is a common problem among 305 owners. So far no one has found the specific source. Most Common are: EGR Valve, Opti, Coolant temp sensor, IAC sensor, or injectors. It seems as though many differant problems cause the same symptoms. Good luck, and if you find a solution before I do, please let me know. -Dilve

Put the serpentine belt on to the pulleys of your 1994 Chevy engine. Tighten a serpentine belt with the tensioner pulley.
What is the engine in the Caprice? In the Suburban? If they are a 305/350 then they can be interchanged. I have a 1985 Caprice Classic with a 305 and the tranny came out of a 1987 Suburban. It depends on the engine.
If the Buick 305 is really a Chevy 305, then the motor mounts will interchange with a Chevy 350.
The 350 and the 305 is a direct swap, The only thing that is different with the 305 is the size of the pistions, They are smaller then the 350 engine. Just transfur the intake and all the other parts from the 305 and put it all on the 350 engine. Easy job.
Oldsmobile used Chevy 305's. 76 350 rocket 77 305 Chevy
There is no information on the internet about what the special feature of the Chevy 305 engine is, in fact, the Chevy 305 and 350 are interchangeable, one is just an older model.
305 horsepower
YES they are the same.
The headers for a 350 and 305 are the same.
Is a 2.8 liter engine a 305?
