It could be ovulation spotting, a light period or implantation bleeding
The symptoms of implantation bleeding are implantation cramps: small cramps inside the uterus, implantation spotting or bleeding: short brief spotting (a couple of drops of light or dark blood), a second temperature shift on the temperature curve, and a temperature dip at about seven to ten days after ovulation.
Implantation Bleeding After ovulation the egg travels into the uterus and burrows into the lining of the uterus. For some women implantation will cause slight bleeding or spotting. This is called implantation bleeding. This is sometimes confused for an early period. What does implantation bleeding or spotting look like? Implantation bleeding, also called implantation spotting, does not look like a regular menstrual period. Implantation bleeding is scanty and usually pink or brownish discharge. Implantation bleeding or menstrual period? Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. A normal menstrual cycle generally starts off light and then gets heavier. Spotting can sometimes be the sign of an early period. If this is the case, the spotting will pick up to heavier bleeding. If you have spotting right around the time your period would normally start, it can be more confusing. You will need to take the wait and see approach or take a pregnancy test to determine pregnancy.

Mid-cycle bleeding is not normal and you should see a doctor. I would like to correct the above statement. Mid-cycle bleeding is, in fact, fairly normal. Some women experience spotting during ovulation and it is considered a very positive sign of fertility. This spotting will be bright red and tinged with mucous. Implantation spotting generally occurs a week before up to the week of the missed period and is generally brownish in color. If you are worried about your cycle please consider seeing a midwife or if one is not available a doctor.
Implantation spotting is less common than people on here seem to think. Fewer women have implantation bleeding than not.
i've heard it is very light spotting not like an actual period and some women do not have implantation bleeding at all, everyone is different
It is possible that it could be implantion bleeding. But it can also just be spotting due to hormonal changes, stress, medications, etc. Implantation bleeding is the result of the fertilized egg(s) implanting itself into the uttering lining which results in bleeding and occasionally abdominal cramping. This form of bleeding takes place six to twelve days after ovulation. ( A females ovulation generally takes place 14 days before her period). There will not be a large amount of blood, some women may not even notice any. Implantation bleeding only lasts a couple of days, this is the way to compare and contrast the difference between implantation and menstrual bleeding. You must keep in mind though that not everyone will experience implantation bleeding.http://pregnancy.lovetoknow.com/wiki/When_Does_Implantation_Bleeding_Occur
Hello, Unlikely but its difficult to say. Implantation bleeding is usually pinkish discharge, spotting of blood for a few hours or brown bleeding for 3 days. Not a heavy flow red bleeding. Test in 2 weeks and if its positive, then you know its implantation bleeding.
No..only a small percentage of women experience implantation bleeding.
