The fact is, the only review you can completely remove is your own. You can not outright delete anyone else’s review even if it is a defamatory and/or lie about your organization. Removing your own review: Sometimes, you might leave a review about an organization and then change your opinion about them completely. Maybe they took your feedback constructively and made changes to the negative aspects significantly. In that case you can surely delete your own review. Here’s how to delete a google review you left:

In Google Maps, Go to Menu (three lines on the top left)

From there, go into “your contributions”tab and then into “reviews.”

Click the three dots right next to your review and then select the delete option.

Requesiting Negative Review Removal: In other cases, someone might have left a review on your Google My Buisness listing that is irrelevant and not constructive. You can flag such reviews and Google will check and take down ones that offer no value to other customers and have simply been used as a venting mechanism. There are 3 ways to do this based on your device convenience:

Using My Business App on Desktop:

Sign in to your account and select the listing of your branch.

Go to “reviews” through the Menu tab.

Look for the concerned review, click on the three dots,and then flag it.

Using My Business App on Phone

Open the MyBusiness app

Go reviews in the customer section.

Find the review you want to get removed and flag it.

Using Google Maps

Find your listing on Google Maps.

Locate the review.

Go into options and select the flag option.

Removing Outdated Content from Google: Sometimes, you might update your website or other digital assets, yet the old content may still be visible through Google Searches. Here is how you can remove that content from Google

Open the Google page for removal of outdated content.

Enter the URL of the place.

Click on Request Removal. Here you can get two types of prompts:

Prompt for current page hasn’t been deleted: In this scenario, you will need to go abc and delta the content from your website first before requesting removal again.

Prompt for content not being present: After this you can proceed with removal
