What does the water outlet housing look like 2001 Sebring (2.7liters) V6? It depends on the engine type... For the 2.7L V6 engine code R it looks like a black plastic piece with three hoses going into it. It has a brass bleed valve on the very top and the coolant temp sensor mounted vertically just below it. It is mounted on top of the engine block on the passenger side. Search for 902-302 for an aftermarket solution.
hydrant:)
If it does not come with a plug on it, no. If it is made for direct wire, then 99.9% chance is that it is a 240 volt unit. If you plug it into a 120 volt outlet your water will barely get warm.
You need to buy a filter housing wrench that will take it off for sure.
Is the outlet located near a water source, if so, yes.

One is the temperature sending unit for the gauge and the other is the sending unit for the computer. The housing is called the water outlet. There is a plastic bypass valve that melts when the car overheats. It is inside the water outlet. If you changed your thermostat and still get no heat you need to replace this water outlet housing. There is no way to fix the plastic bypass. You have to replace the water outlet housing.
water pump
lower radiator hose inside water outlet/ thermostat housing.
I just purchased that part for my 1999 Explorer and it's called the "Thermostat Housing/Water Outlet" or "Lower Water Outlet Housing" Here's a good source to purchase and also to use for a reference for car parts: www.RockAuto.com
In a housing that attaches to the water pump at the rear of the engine. Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine. The stat is in the water outlet. AT THE END OF THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE ( ENGINE END)
