there would be a lack of sunlight for the plant, and reduce the amount of heat that it will receive, because shiny surfaces are bad absorbers of heat and hence decreased enzyme activity. this will lead to decrease rate of photosynthesis, the plant will wilt ad die due to lack of sucrose and glucose to support plant growth.
