Toxoplasmosis is a disease spread mostly through cat excrement. So you should take precautions when you clean a litter box, and you shouldn't get near cat waste if you are pregnant. Rabies can be spread from cats to humans, so you want to make sure any cats you own are vaccinated. There are also Allergies to cat hair and skin.
