CPUs are a difficult thing to compare, even within the same manufacturer. An AMD 64 3000+ to an AMD 64 34000+ would be in about the same ballpark as an Intel Pentium 4 @ 3 Ghz.
Depends if the model you have supports USB 3.0. However to check whether or not it does, look at the USB ports. If they are coloured blue, then that port supports 3.0. Also another way of finding out is by going to: My Computer (right click)> Manage > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Check to see if you have 3.0 controllers, such as AMD USB 3.0.
