The question does not really make sense since you are comparing a holy book (the Qur'an) to a religion (Sunni Islam). The Qur'an is the holy book for Sunni Islam and Sunni Islam is a reflection of the words of the Qur'an, but there is not a basis upon which to compare similarities.
that the islam is not only quran but prophet muhammed sunna "what he do" ex: we know how to pray from the sunna not from the quran
Sunni
share fundamental Islamic beliefs #haveagooddaylearning
whatever was written in quran was practically done by prophet (saw).... basically the knowledge of quran is elaborated in sunnah
The Shariah is the outcome of both Quran and Sunnah.
Sunni's are Muslims who follow the rules by the Quran, while Shia (who are the second biggest type of Muslim) follow the rules by the prophet and last messenger Mohammed (peace be upon him)...Sunni people also follow the ways of the prophet but they get the laws of Islam from the holy book.
Sunni religion??? i think your little confusedTheir is only one religion both for a sunni or shii' that is Islam. There is no sunni religion or shii religion!!! Islam is the only religion and how did it start you have to read the Quran,"Sunni" means "traditionalist" they go by the Quran and the teaches of Muhammad (PBUH) where shii means " the party of Ali" they too follow the Quran, but they say that After the Death of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH) Ali was his cousin was suppose to take leadership, not his trusted friend.
Yes, he is a great Sunni Muslim Scholar, representing the true teachings of Islam based on deep knowledge of Quran and Sunnah. If you read his books or listen to his lectures, you will find that he brings very powerful and solid arguments from Quran, Sunnah and texts from classical authorities in Islam. Also, he adds logical reasoning to explain his ideology in very simple and understandable words.
If you read the Holy Quran ...Nowhere is it mentioned that Islam was divided. Islam symbolizes unity among muslims so how can there be division among the religion. Many people believe that there are sunni, shia, bori, etc. This is a great misconception. Nowhere in the Quran is there anything mentioned about sunni and shia, etc.... So basically.. a muslim who follows islam is a person who believes in the quran , god, his propets, his angels, fate, good and evil, the day of judgement. If he does not believe in any one of these then he does not follow islam. (hope this answers your question)
The true Islam is the one that was sent down to the prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.A.H.F) down to his family (ahlul bayt) or people of the house hold which are called infalibles which means they do not do wrong because they abide by the holy quran, they are the walking and talking quran because their talk is the quran and their action is quran so shia religion is the real islam baught down from the Imams
Orthodox Muslims are those who adhere Islam teachings per Quran and Sonnah (prophet MNuhammad PBUH sayings and deeds).
The main holy book is the Quran that reflects God word revelation to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the angel Gabriel (or Jibril). Refer to related Quran questions below. Other books are not holy but important to Muslims to know the rules of their religion; mainly are the books of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sayings and practices (called prophet Sunnah) as Sahih Al Bukhari and other relevant books. According to Shia Islam the main book after Quran is Bahj ul Balaghah (called the brother of Quran) that is collection of sayings of Imam Ali a.s. (below link) and the Sahifeh Sajadiyeh, The Psalms of Islam (called the sister of Quran) (below link) are main books. shia and sunni have main Hadith books. shia Muslims do not consider any hadith book completely authentic. but sunni Muslims consider the book of Bukhari (an Iranian sunni writer) completely authentic.
