there isn't one . Thay are called coil packs
i do beleve it should be in frunt of valve covers both sides. if not just flow the spark plug wiers from moter
First you must remove the plastic cover on top of the engine. the spark plugs are located directly under the coil packs and there are no plug wires so when you remove the coil, you will see the top of the plugs. This is not too difficult even for a shade tree kinda guy.
mine did the same thing i canged the plugs and two coil packs if you have an advance auto near by they will plug it in and tell you the problem if check engine lite comes on like mine was missing cylinder 4 & 6. like I said i replaced the plugs first and it was still missing and then i replaced two coil packs which are about 50.00 a piece. mine a 98 grand marquis 146000 miles on it
THE SPARK PLUGS ARE UNDER THE INGNITON COIL PACKS MOUNTED ON THE VALVE COVERS. THERE ARE NUTS THAT SECURE THE COIL PACKS, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THESE COVERS TO EXPOSE THE COILS WITH A SPARK PLUG BOOT MOUNTED ON THE END. WHEN REPLACING PLUGS BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE ELECTRODE BOOT. SOME PARTS STORES CARRY REPLACEMENT BOOTS , SOME REQUIRE THE COMPLETE COIL REPLACEMENT WHICH CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE.
One
A 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee has one ignition coil.
It is in both numbers and letters. You have to buy the card packs.
