This may be demonstrated by the treatment of citizens of America, Canada and Australia (all democracies) who confiscated the good of and imprisoned citizens who se ancestors originated in foreign countries at war with the democracies in world war two. In today's world citizens of "suspect" racial, religious or philosophical positions are given less protection by the law, less education and less opportunity. In short less in the way of civil liberty.
