A Black Moor goldfish needs an aquarium of at least 30 gallons if they are going to thrive. This is because goldfish are essentially pond fish, so they need plenty of space to swim around. A tank smaller than 30 gallons will lead to an overall unhappy, unhealthy pet.

Why do molly fish follow the goldfish around all the time?

Molly fish and and goldfish don't really go that well together... We once owned a molly and a black moor, which was pure horror for the moor. Constant nipping at its tail, and aggressive dominant behaviour in the tank during, after, and between feeding... It was real sad to watch. The pet store we bought them at said they would be fine together - that was a big lie! We soon got rid of the mollies before any permanent damage was caused on our Moor. Now we have the black moor tanked with a panda moor, and they're best friends (most of the time :))

No you schould not have that many fish in a one gallon tank. Thats the size of a big betta bowl. And because they are goldfish it is worse their poops are toxins

Yes as long as it can't fit in an other fishes mouth it will be perfectly fine. A fishes tank can never be too big.

How long is a big fish tank?

A big fish tank is as long as its been built. 'Big' is a subjective term. Ask yourself, how long is a big fish tank, to me? That is where your answer lies. For me, a 'big' fish tank is anything over at or over 4 feet long.

Should you put your fish in a bowl or tank?

it depends on how big it is if it is a goldfish or beta it can be in a bowl.If it is one of those big tiger fish or aqarium fish then put it in a big tank. A fish will grow to the size of the tank or bowl. For instance, say a goldfish is in a tank, it will not grow as big as the tank; however it will grow big enough to be able to swim in their environment. The fish will not overgrow the tank. I had a six inch goldfish in a thirty gallon tank.

Can you Place a Black Moor Fish In a 5 Gallon Tank?

Well yes, you can but only if it is little,, because I have two a big one and a little one. The smaller one is in a five gallon tank but eventually they get big so they will need to be moved into a bigger tank, but if you have a small one then it should be fine for the time being.

Do fish grow faster in a big tank or a small tank?

It doesn't matter what tank they are in, it is the food you feed the fish.

How big can a black moor goldfish get?

They get to about 4 inches but have been reported to grow up to 10 inches.8-10 inches long depending on how big the tank is.For all types of fancy goldfish, (yes, black moors are classed as fancy goldfish!) 20 us gallons (75 litres) for the first fish, and 10 us gallons (about 37 litres) per additional fish (for example, if I wanted two fancy goldfish, I would need a at least a thirty US gallon (120 litre) tank if I wanted the two fish to reach their potential size and life span. if you use a smaller tank it stunts their growth and they tend to not live as long. if given proper care and an adequate tank size, they get to 10 inches they can live for 25 years.
