It can be any size as long as the electrons are still travelling and attracted to the positive the battery of any size can shock you but not really kill you unless its huge!

Most batteries can cause such, most of the time, though, it's a 6v lantern battery, or a 9volt. Lick the contacts. Feel that little shock? Electrocution. You want body convulsing? Try a taser, or a car battery. it does not depend on size, though, but on volts. a 6-volt battery is the size of a small brick, about 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. but a 9 volt battery is 1 inch tall and 1/2 an inch wide, but a 9-volt electrocutes more than a 6-volt.
