First check that the alternator is working normally.
Then, check that all four wheels have braking when lifted off of the ground and brake pedal depressed and transmission in neutral.
Next, check that Transmission Fluid level is normal.
After that check that the parking brake applies and releases normally.
If all of the above are okay, the problem is likely a problem with the light and not the brakes.
