Currently it is necessary to be an officer to pilot a military aircraft in the U.S. Air Force. Consequently, it would first be necessary to qualify for Officer Candidate School and complete that program. Another alternative would be to apply to the United States Air Force Academy and complete the four-year program. The U.S. Army accepts enlisted men into warrant officer helicopter pilot programs. The U.S. Marine Corps had a similar program during the Vietnam War. Warrant officer pilot programs are normally implemented only as an emergency measure to satisfy a need for pilots. Warrant officers pilots perform only their special duties in a specific type of aircraft. In the U.S. Air Force, officers are expected to perform command and administrative duties. Flying proficiency is one of a number of skills for which an officer may be rated. A U.S. Air Force officer may be rated to fly more than one type of aircraft. The general philosophy is that a modern jet aircraft is an extremely expensive, dangerous and sophisticated piece of equipment, which requires interaction with a large number of people in the course of its operation in a theater of combat. This level of responsibility is therefore only assigned to an officer who has had extensive education and training beyond the mere operation of the aircraft.

Yes, any degree will give you a chance to be a pilot in the world's greatest Air Force.
You do not have to jump out of a plane to become a pilot. A person only has to complete pilot training courses and log enough hours of both trained and solo flight to become a pilot.
You can become an Air Force pilot through the AFROTC program. The commitment for a pilot is ten years, in contrast to the normal four year commitment.
Yes, but you cannot become a pilot.
Technically yes, you can always continue your education, get a college degree after you finish your GED, and be a pilot if your college GPA is good. No, not as a pilot or in any officer position with just a GED. Flight engineer is an enlisted slot on heavies. There are enlisted flight attendants on Air Force One. Air refuelers, flight system technicians, Radio Operators, Surveillance Operators, etc. Easiest exact answer is to step into a recruiters office and ask to see the enlisted flying AFSCs.
Of course. It's probably the most common and the most effective way.
No, sorry. You can become a regular pilot though!
YES! I have scoliosis-I am a graduate of the Air Force Academy, I am a professional pilot, and I have scoliosis. It requires a waiver and is a black and white issue-in other words, if your curve is less than X you are good, if not you are not and they will not give you the waiver.
