watt = amp * volt

watt hour capacity = amp hour capacity * voltage

Calculate capacity in watt hour for the one which gives you mAh capacity with the following (dividing by 1000 to convert mA to A):

Wh capacity = (mAh capacity / 1000 ) * voltage

How do you connect 8 batteries to one inverter?

-- If all 8 batteries have the same rated voltage as the inverter input, then they must be configured in parallel. -- If the batteries are not rated the same voltage as the inverter input, then some combination of series and parallel has to be designed. The specific configuration depends on the details of the batteries you have.

What is an alkaline cell and how does it work?

An alkaline battery uses the same principles as other batteries but uses different chemicals which, although more expensive, give it more power and a longer life when compared to other similar batteries.

How are batteries and generators the same?

Batteries and generators are same in the sense that both are sources of current.

Are mcVolt Li-Ion laptop batteries really better than NiMh and NiCd batteries?

Nickel Cadmium batteries contain Cadmium, a toxic heavy metal, which is harmful to the environment. Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries offer a higher capacity(runtime)per same size(voltage output) than NiCd batteries and mcVolt Litium Ion laptop batteries have a higher capacity than NiMh(those sold by most manufacturers). NiMh batteries are also lighter and have little memory effect compared to their NiCd counterparts. mcVolt Li-ion laptop batteries are light, have a higher capacity and have no memory effect compared to NiMh and NiCd batteries.

What is chemicals are used in alkaline batteries?

The main chemicals are zinc, manganese, and potassium hydroxide. Very small amounts of mercury can be used to balance the reaction. Alkaline batteries get their name because the electrolyte (potassium hydroxide) is alkaline compared to electrolytes used in other batteries that provide the same voltage in output.

How much does Yuasa batteries cost?

What is the resulting voltage when batteries are connected in series?

assuming the batteries are the same: if you connect + to + and - to - the line out will be the same volts as one battery (parallel) if you connect + to - and - to + (series) the line out will be the sum of all the batteries in series Do not connect batteries together in either configuration unless they are the same size and rating Observe all safety precausions when handling batteries
