The start-up utilities in Windows can run memory diagnostics for each DDR slot. Conversely, you can enter the command "mdsched.exe" in the start menu on Windows 7+ operating systems.
Not both at the same time. Most motherboards will be able to support both types of RAM but DDR RAM is much better, due to the double data capability it has. Since RAM prices are quite cheap it would be better if you throw out your SD RAM and buy DDR. No you cannot use both ddr ram and sd ram on the same pc. You have to use either or depending on the motherboard. The slots are different. You can determine what type of memory you have by entering setup in the bios when you turn on your pc. DDR Ram has a slot in the very center of the chip that forms to the slot you plug it into. SD ram has a slot on the chip off set the middle. Hope this answers your question. Ddr 184-pin pc-2700 512m each slot. Total 2x512m max.
The frequency level of your motherboard should be large enough to runÊa standardÊRAM. Its manufacturer should be a reliable company that has shown a history of manufacturing RAM for computers. Size level should be at least 4GB for computers that run a lot of graphics.
500Mhz
no you can not use 400 MHZ ram because (PC2100 @ 266 MHZ ddr) and (PC2700 @ 333 MHZ ddr) are the only chips that are inter changable. PC3200 is 400 MHZ but it has 2 slots not just the one. It does not fit into the same type slot as either PC2700 or PC2100. I was looking at the possibility of a PC2700 ram rated at 400 MHZ but I do not think there is such a thing.
PC 4800
You need to have a PS3 or XBOX360 guitar. You plug the it in a USB slot and your PC should detect it right away.
PC-100 or PC-133 SDRAM will not fit into a DDR SDRAM slot. If you look at the bottom edge you will see that the number of notches and the spacing of them are completely different. Even if they did use the same sockets, they are not at all compatible with each other, to the point that if you have a motherboard with both sockets you would only be able to use one type of RAM at a time.
Unfortunately you can not. DDR and DDR2 have a different pin arrangement and they will never work in each others slots.
The PNY PC-3200 1 GB DDR SDRAM is considerably fast memory-wise.
The DDR DIMM is an older type of RAM. DDR DIMM is not compatible with other kinds of RAM which is why a person that has an older PC has to choose a DDR DIMM memory as a replacement for one that broke.
ExpressCards are not backwards compatible with CardBus or PC Card
