Certain exercises such as somatics exercises allows us to reset the resting levels or tension levels of our muscles.

When we lower the tension levels, we can feel more relaxed. In fact, when people do somatics exercises, many time they will drift off on account of the relaxation chemicals which are created.

When we live with high levels of stress, this anti-dote lets us calm down naturally.

Exercise is general is a way to relieve stress yet if done to close to bedtime can actually keep us revved up and awake.

Exercises which relax us with gentle easy movements can bring us down from the high of exercise so we can rest more easily and arise more fully awake.
